When the Los Angeles Lakers made Jordan Hill a free agent, it immediately made Hill an interesting addition to any team. While Hill won’t be burning the stat sheets for any team, he is a good NBA player. He works hard on the glass, can score in the paint and plays pretty good defense.
It just happened that right after the Lakers agreed to acquire big man Roy Hibbert from the Indiana Pacers, the former Lakers center agreed to terms with the Pacers. Why the players couldn’t be traded for each other is unclear but either way, Jordan Hill will be headed to the Pacers.

Hill spent the better part of three seasons in Los Angeles with the Lakers. In his time out on the left coast he averaged 9.9 points per game, shooting 49.5% from the field with 7 rebounds per game in 22 minutes per game in 178 games played for the Lakers.
Hill has played only 15 career games in the playoffs and as a player who is going into his seventh season in the NBA at only 28 years old, it’s around the time that Hill will enter his prime. There’s no better place for him to do that than the Pacers, a team who is gearing up for a run into the playoffs with a new style led by their star, Paul George. He will be looking to fight for starting center minutes with Ian Mahinmi but the addition of Hill will help the Pacers solidify their depth at the center position.
As Whitney Medworth of SBNation pointed out, when the Indiana Pacers finalize a deal with Jordan Hill, they will have all of the players with the last name ‘Hill’ in the NBA. Jordan Hill will be joining George Hill and Solomon Hill on the Pacers.
