It has been said on numerous occasions from numerous artist on how “lackluster” hip-hop was in 2014. Although we received albums from Schoolboy Q, YG, Rick Ross twice, J. Cole and more, the music just wasn’t hitting. P.Reign was recently on Karen Civil’s “Civil Scope” speaking on the 2014 rap scene and what may come in 2015 and while doing so, he took a page out of DeMar Derozan’s book and said Drake has a mixtape coming.
I know Drake’s dropping a mixtape that I’ve already heard a lot of and it’s crazy, I think its some of the best I’ve heard from him in my life and I already know off Drake’s mixtape the world is going to shake.
We all know Drake loves dropping off new music in the wee hours of the morning on the most random day’s, so this news will definitely keep Drake fans eyes and ears open. Reign also spoke on other artist he felt will try to shake things up in 2015. Read what he had to say below.
I know Kanye is getting ready to put something out, I won’t be surprised if Hov put something out. I think it’ll be a huge year for hip-hop. I know Kendrick has something to put out. A$AP Rocky, a lot of top dudes are going for that top spot. I think it’ll be one of the craziest years yet.
