As the Wizards chose to rest John Wall, Bradley Beal, Paul Pierce, and Nene in the game vs Cleveland, Otto Porter was the man to gain an opportunity to join the starting rotation. Porter has performed admirably this season when given opportunities to join the starting lineup, but unfortunately got himself injured in this matchup.
Prior to the injury, Porter has been playing fine with 4 points on 2/5 shooting with 4 rebounds and a block in 20 minutes of play. The productivity was not there, but he certainly was playing well enough to give the Wizards a three-point lead going into halftime. Once Otto was injured, things began to fall apart.
Hopefully the ankle injured Otto suffered is not major, and he will be ready to contribute to the team on Saturday when the Wizards take on the Raptors in Toronto. Otto is going to be a key for the Wizards off the bench as he can come in and take on a large scoring role for Washington off the bench.
