It’s becoming a daily thing now, NBA hopefuls declaring for the Draft.
Today we have two more, Ohio State’s LaQuinton Ross and UCLA’s Zach LaVine have officially declared for the Draft.
Lets start with Ross. Ross was Ohio State’s leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 15.2 points and 5.9 rebounds during his junior season. He had the classic sophomore slump but kicked it into high gear in his junior. He’s a worthy player, good perimeter shooter an is a solid finisher at the rim.
LaVine is number 27 on ESPN’s Chad Ford top-100 prospects list. With that in mind we if he gets minutes it’ll probably be on the bench but since he’s known as a combo scoring guard maybe he an work his way up. But…
Ford wrote earlier this week.
“He has a future as a pro, but he’s so far away right now,” that’s a little disheartening but we’ve seen lower draft picks do well so never say never.
DraftExpress have LaVine going 30th in the first round which at this time would be held by the San Antonio Spurs, and Ross is projected 18th in the second round which is currently held by the Chicago Bulls.
