One of the major storylines of the NBA season has been Russell Westbrook’s dominance. The point guard has set records, becoming the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double while surpassing the Big O for the most triple-doubles in a year.
On Wednesday, as the Thunder wrapped up the regular season, Robertson was present to honor Westbrook’s legendary achievement. The former Bucks great met with Westbrook before the game and later announced Russ as his MVP in front of a raucous Oklahoma City crowd.

What a wonderful way to cap off a huge season for Westbrook. Now, the Thunder prepare for the playoffs as we wait to see if the point guard’s tremendous season was enough to win him the MVP award.
