Orlando Franklin Leaves Denver For Rival Chargers
It appears the San Diego Chargers have signed all pro guard Orlando Franklin. Franklin was a key member of the Broncos offensive line responsible for keeping Peyton Manning upright. Orlando Franklin started 47 games at Right Tackle for the Broncos during his first three seasons. Now it seems he will remain a guard following the move to San Diego.
With King Dunlap and D.J. Fluker in the fold, Franklin will solidify the San Diego line from the inside. With the recent retirement of center Nick Hardwick and the revolving door at each guard position, Franklin was a must have for San Diego. The contract numbers have not been officially released but it appears a deal is in place.
Source on Saturday characterized OL Orlando Franklin to Chargers as “unofficially done.” Continue to hear same.

Philadelphia was rumored to be the other team heavily involved. It appears the Eagles have turned their attention to Patriots safety Devin McCourty. We will keep you updated on a busy start to free agency.
