If you’re not familiar with Omah Lay, you should be. The Nigerian singer-songwriter has established himself by working with acts like Wizkid and DJ Tunez. This year, he emerged as a rising solo act with the success of “You” and his latest project, Get Layd. Now, he’s taking the next step by releasing the video for “Damn.”
The song is much like the video. It’s subtle, but you can’t afford to divert your attention from the offering. For those reasons and much more, “Damn” is one of Omah Lay’s favorite records.
“To be very honest, ‘Damn’ was easily my favorite song on the album,” he said.
“I had fun making it and it had to be the only song I didn’t have to go back into the studio to change anything. I think it’s even one of the reasons I insisted we shoot the video last.”
