Former Boston College guard Olivier Hanlan participated in his 18th pre-draft workout on Tuesday while working out with the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center. With a lot of teams looking into the combo-guard, Hanlan seems like he will find a home somewhere in the NBA.
In his final season at Boston College, Hanlan averaged 19.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 37.6 minutes per game.
Even though Hanlan had to score more in college than many point guards do, he feels he can still be a successful guard once he enters the league. Being more of a scorer in college has also prepared Hanlan to be ready to play either guard position in the NBA.
Following From Washington Post.
“I feel like I scored the ball well in college,” Hanlan said. “My three years there I improved my scoring a lot. Just being an aggressive point guard I feel like in the league. Some ones play the one and two, and score on the ball, score off the ball so I definitely can translate that to the NBA.”
If Hanlan is able to bring his game to the NBA like he believes he can, he could have a lot more success than some people expect. The guard could see his game in a lot of different places this season, and should be prepared to play in any system. With 18 workouts completed, Hanlan could go anywhere, and needs to be prepared for a few different scenarios.
