Oladipo, Plumlee, “Greek Freak” Will Be In NBA Dunk Contest
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, sources confirm that Victor Oladipo (Orlando Magic), Giannis the “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), and Mason Plumlee (Brooklyn Nets) will all be participating in the 2015 NBA Dunk Contest as part of All-Star Weekend.
Another strong possibility to join in the dunk contest festivities, according to sources, is Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Zach LaVine. The dunk contest will be the usual finale event on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Barclays Center.
The All-Star Game is at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 15.
This is a good start for a crop of young leapers in the dunk contest. Oladipo’s 360 is becoming a regular phenomenon, Plumlee has bounce, power, and creativity. Giannis has “freak” in his nickname. GET LAVINE. Give us a worthwhile dunk contest. This is a good start.
