The full schedule for the 2015-16 NBA season is expected to be released later this week. Many games have already been revealed though. We already know quite a few opening day and Christmas day games. The latest to be released is a Christmas one. The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day, according to Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman.
The Thunder will be home for Christmas.
For the sixth consecutive season, Oklahoma City will be featured in the league’s biggest holiday showcase when it hosts Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day, The Oklahoman has learned.
It will be the first time the Thunder has hosted a Christmas game since 2011, when it defeated Orlando inside Chesapeake Energy Arena…
The league has not yet determined the time of the Thunder-Bulls game. An afternoon tip is likely.
If both teams can get and stay healthy(something that they have both struggled with in the past) then this should be a fantastic game. Derrick Rose may not quite be his former self, but him vs. Russell Westbrook is always a great matchup. They’re two of the fastest, most athletic point guards in the world. Jimmy Butler, an elite defender, will likely be tasked with guarding Kevin Durant, arguably the best scorer in the NBA.
With the release of this game, we now know 4 of the 5 total Christmas day matchups. The Pelicans will play the Heat at noon, the Warriors will take on the Cavaliers in a finals rematch, and the Lakers and Clippers will face off in the battle for LA.
It’s looking like this Christmas should be a fun one, NBA-wise. These 4 games are sure to be entertaining, and there’s still one more that has yet to be revealed.
