The main event of All-Star Saturday night has been revealed. The Traditional Slam Dunk Contest is back with only 4 participants and this cast makes you even more excited for the saturday night festivities. Last week our Def Pen writers tried to make their predictions as to who will be in the dunk contest and now they have been revealed. We also heard last week that Plumlee, Giannis, and Oladipo will also be in the contest and now LaVine has finalized the 4 contestants.
Participants:
1. Victor Oladipo (Orlando Magic)
2. Mason Plumlee (Brooklyn Nets)
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks)
4. Zach LaVine (Minnesota Timberwolves)
This cast makes you wonder about a couple things, no John Wall? No Andrew Wiggins? No McDaniels? I can make sense of 3 of the participants while Mason Plumlee is really puzzling. Either way this dunk contest should be fun, because we know that these guys have super athletic ability and we sure have seen some of them dunk. My winner would definitely be Zach LaVine, because he does 360’s and windmills in his warmups for fun. He makes jumping seem easy to a person that doesn’t find jumping easy and that shows me he’s got a couple tricks up his sleeve.
The Dunk Contest will return to the classic format as well as Marc J. Spears says:
NBA returns to classic format at dunk contest with a two-round event (3 each round) with each dunker performing any dunk without time limits
