Odell Beckham Jr is a lot of things to a lot of people but he wants to add one more major thing to his resume. He wants to be the NFL’s highest paid player, not just the highest paid wide receiver. He has made three straight Pro Bowls in his time in the league and saw increased targets and receptions through three seasons with the New York Giants.
He ranks among the top in the league in multiple receiving metrics and it’s hard to argue that he’s not among the top of the NFL’s talents. But beyond his on-field accomplishments, he’s also had his fair share of off-the-field drama. His drama against Josh Norman has escalated to new levels over the last two years. He was reportedly staging a holdout against the team in hopes for a new contract and of course, his party life has been a point of concern for some.
Beckham knows his talents and knows what he’s worth to the Giants and the NFL as a whole. He’s officially made it known that he believes he wants to be the highest paid player in the NFL.
