The Denver Nuggets are in some need of healthy help on the wing. Gary Harris was injured to start the season and now he’s back on the injury report. Will Barton has been dealing with an ankle injury of his own. Guards Emmanuel Mudiay and Jameer Nelson are more point guards than swingmen and rookie guards Jamal Murray and Malik Beasley don’t appear quite ready for big minutes.
So they had to make a move before their 3-7 record got any worse. They decided to waive one of their young forwards in Jarnell Stokes and reached a deal with recently waived swingman Alonzo Gee to bring him back to the Nuggets. Gee was waived after the Pelicans elected to keep Lance Stephenson, who they eventually waived due to an injury.
The Nuggets sent out a press release earlier today announcing they’ve waived Stokes.

Shams Charania of The Vertical on Yahoo! Sports reports that Denver is signing Gee.

Will Gee change everything for the Nuggets? No. But he will be a good veteran piece to add to a team looking for experience at his position. Since coming into the league in 2010, Gee has bounced around the league spending time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, Nuggets and Pelicans.
For his career, Gee averages 6.8 points per game, on 43.5% shooting from the field and also grabbed 3.3 rebounds per game. He spent 39 games with the Nuggets back in 2014-15.
