Gary Harris is one of the young studs the Denver Nuggets are relying on as they make a push towards a return to the playoffs. Harris, along with Emmanuel Mudiay, Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic is the main young group, along with veterans in Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari, that has some looking very highly at the Nuggets postseason chances.
Now it appears that one of those young guards might not start the season healthy. Gary Harris suffered an injury in the Nuggets preseason opener against the Toronto Raptors. That injury has been revealed to be a partially torn groin.

After a rookie campaign that only saw Harris play 55 games, he he bounced back in his sophomore season playing in 76 games, all starts. He upped his average from 3.4 points per game to 12.3 points and every other major statistical category followed suit.
With Harris out, you can almost immediately insert Will Barton as the new starting two guard to begin the season. While he proved his worth last season was coming off the bench as a sixth man, Barton might need to help out the squad and start for a few weeks.
