It appears the Denver Nuggets have joined the packs of teams interested in the Chicago Bulls two way star, Jimmy Butler. Butler has been “available” and in the middle of trade discussions for what feels like years. The Timberwolves and Celtics have been at the forefront of these rumors but now a new team has joined them.
According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, the Nuggets have discussed a trade with the Bulls.
Denver has spoken to the Bulls about Jimmy Butler, source told ESPN. Would include multiple young players, not Nikola Jokic, and picks.
This would be a fun landing spot depending on what the Nuggets would have to give up. The nuggets play a fast tempo style with young guards and a supremely talented big man in Nikola Jokic. Jimmy Butler is just 27 years old but would be the veteran on a team that appears close to competing for a playoff spot. Although this deal is anything but certain it is nice to see the Nuggets attempting to land a big fish.
