After dropping a new project in 2018 called Room 25, Noname is back with a new track called “Song 31”. The Chicago native originally promised the track on Twitter during the holiday season and to no one’s surprise she delivered on her promise. The new track from the rising emcee has a jazzy feeling that is hard to escape. Throughout the song, Noname touches on the capitalism of art as it relates to her life. She raps, “I sell pain for profit and I feel profit watching. Everything is for everything.”Alongside her unique flow, the song delivers on everything you’d expect following her top tier project from September. Not to mention, the record comes with a lengthy outro that eases the ear.
Noname is picking up steam as she nears the beginning of her next tour. Announced in November, the “Room 25” tour will begin this week as Noname does sold out shows in Detroit, Montreal and Brooklyn. Later on this month, Noname will also stop in Washington, D.C. and Boston for a few more sold out shows. Ultimately, the tour will end with shows in Denver, Boise, Seattle, Portland, Oakland and Vancouver before ending in San Deigo on March 16th at the Observatory Park.
