For as long as R&B has been around, collectives and groups have helped shape the sound of the genre. From the rise of groups like The Cardinals and The Orioles to the days of Diddy’s Making The Band, every generation of listeners has had a group of vocalists and instrumentalists to look to. In recent years, some have questioned if the idea of a group or collective in R&B had died out. Fortunately, the opposite is true. FLO and LA’DY are making strides along with a number of other talented groups like No Guidnce.
Following in the footsteps of Boyz II Men, Jodeci and several others, No Guidnce is a dynamic foursome of soulful vocalists that has taken social media by storm with their music and desire to push boundaries within the genre. Having sold out shows in the U.S. and the U.K. with just a handful of songs, this rising group is unlike anything in recent memory. Closing out the summer, No Guidnce is ready to take things to the next level.
No Guidnce has returned with a new track called “Let It Rain.” Produced by Ben Billions and Tracksion, “Let It Rain” is an addictive breakup anthem that will have you singing along even if you’ve been happily married for decades. Josh Lomat, ??Kaci Brookz, Ebubé and Zeekay trade off verses as they convey a feeling of heartbreak and sadness that anyone can relate to.
“Them late nights [when] you’re wide awake/With my name on your brain/Time heals, but hearts still break/And tears fall just like rain,” the group sings.
No Guidnce has put out a handful of tracks thus far and each one has been a home run. “Let It Rain” is no different. Check out the latest single from the London R&B group below.
