In February, Nipsey Hussle came through with a contender for album of the year in Victory Lap. Released on Interscope, the project moved 54,000 units in its first week and featured Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, The Dream, YG, Buddy, Cee-Lo Green, Konshens, Marsha Ambrosius and more. In June, he followed up Victory Lap with the victory slap heard around the world at the 2018 BET Awards. Today, he continued his run with the first exclusive look at the limited edition Victory Lap Air Jordan 3’s.
In celebration of the West Cost entrepreneur’s debut album, consignment shop, Index Portland, has revealed the first images of the new shoe. For the most part, the shoe is a classic black cement Air Jordan 3 with a little flair. The sneaker features a “VL” logo embroidered in gray near the ankle as well as the “VL” logo in red which can be seen through the light blue sole.
The first look of these sneakers comes a short time after Puma and Nipsey Hussle severed ties. It’s unclear whether Nipsey will continue to work with the Jordan brand going forward, but this is definitely a strong start.
