
One of the most surprising news from this free agency was the decision made by Nikola Mirotic when he chose to go back to Europe and play for FC Barcelona. The team made official the signing on Monday as they released a press statement and presented Mirotic as a new addition to the team.

Mirotic played in Europe for four seasons before coming to the NBA. In the EuroLeague, he was chosen as the best young talent in the competition in 2011 and 2012. In the continental competition, he averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 22.1 minutes per game while shooting 40.2 percent from the three-point line.
As for the Spanish league, he won the title and the league MVP in the 2012-2013 season. Mirotic played a total of 131 games and averaged 10.5 points, 4.8 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game while shooting 29.3 percent from the three-point line. Mirotic also made official the signing in his twitter account.

During his time in the NBA, he played for the Chicago Bulls, the New Orleans Pelicans and, more recently, the Milwaukee Bucks. In his five seasons, Mirotic played a total of 319 games in the NBA and averaged 12.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists in 24.2 minutes per game while shooting 35.9 percent from the three-point line.
