The altercation in question was sparked by a battle for an offensive rebound between Mason Plumlee and Derrick Favors. The two then had some words for each other following the play which led to shoves also being exchanged. Nikola Jokic will receive his one-game ban for leaving the bench during the fracas, an automatic suspension in the NBA.

Currently second in the Western Conference, the Nuggets will surely miss Jokic for their upcoming game against the Phoenix Suns. The Serbian big man has been playing at a historic pace this season, posting per-game averages of 19.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists.
