The folks at NikeLab have unveiled their upcoming Nike ACG collection for this upcoming Spring 2015. After the official unveiling of the brands rebirth by NikeLab it looks like they are going to continue to move forth with the All Condition Gear and provide us will spring gear as they did in the winter.
Check out the information below provided by Nike, INC and let us know down in the comments if you plan on picking up any of the apparel or footwear.
In December 2014, Nike ACG was reborn as NikeLab ACG. The new name brings a new promise to deliver sport utility for the city. Spanning outerwear, footwear and portable storage, the collection is designed to meet the demands for mobility and weather protection in any urban setting.
Representing the future of lifestyle innovation, ACG marries pioneering materials such as Nike Tech Fleece, Nike Dri-FIT Wool and Nike Flyknit with Acronym® co-founder Errolson Hugh’s knowledge of fit, apparel construction and the functionality needed for everyday life. In spring 2015, the men’s collection will expand with two new silhouettes engineered to handle spring in the city: the NikeLab ACG Bomber Jacket and the NikeLab ACG Crew Sweatshirt.
NIKELAB ACG BOMBER JACKET
The NikeLab ACG Bomber Jacket is born from the “all conditions fit” that permeates the collection. The all conditions fit encourages readiness, both mentally and physically, and minimizes restriction. It is based on the universal ready stance in sports, in which athletes are half-crouched and primed to pounce. Employing the all conditions fit, the NikeLab ACG Bomber Jacket provides the range of motion the wearer needs for any situation.
“The bomber jacket is probably one of the most iconic pieces of apparel there is. It’s one of those items that is at home in almost any situation, from super casual to semi-formal,” Hugh says. “Design-wise, the NikeLab ACG Bomber Jacket is composed of the classical elements of a bomber jacket. But fit-wise, it has been completely re-engineered. It has the same forward-leaning ready stance that primes the wearer for movement. It feels like no other bomber around.”
Weather in the city can be unpredictable in the spring, with conditions ranging from cool and breezy to cold and windy. The lightweight NikeLab ACG Bomber Jacket features a windproof Gore® Windstopper® fabric to equip the wearer for the swirling gusts of the city. The jacket’s fleece lining provides additional warmth, and a mix of internal and external pockets offer secure storage. For example, the sleeve pocket has been redesigned to be able to hold a smartphone.
NIKELAB ACG CREW SWEATSHIRT
In addition to protecting against the elements, the ACG collection offers layering items that can help athletes transition from locations such as the street to the subway. The NikeLab ACG Crew Sweatshirt features a modern, streamlined aesthetic for a sleeker look. Nike Tech Fleece material, which uses innovative thermal construction to trap body heat, is employed to create warmth without adding weight.
The NikeLab ACG Crew Sweatshirt also includes a bonded zippered pocket on the wearer’s left-hand side for secure storage. A media port near the collar allows the wearer to run headphones underneath the lining of the garment.
“As is essential with all pieces in the collection, the NikeLab ACG Crew Sweatshirt is sleek with effortless versatility,” says Matthew Millward, Nike Senior Design Director. “It looks good and moves well, all with a civilized, considered design.”
The NikeLab ACG Spring 2015 men’s collection will also feature several items updated with new colorways, including the NikeLab ACG Tech Fleece Pant, the NikeLab ACG Pocket T-Shirt, the NikeLab ACG Flyknit Trainer Chukka SFB and the NikeLab ACG LunarTerra Arktos boot. The NikeLab ACG Responder Backpack will round out the collection.
Items from the NikeLab ACG Spring 2015 men’s collection will be available beginning March 12 in all global NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelabin North America, Western Europe, China and Japan.
