There goes the neighborhood. Boxing star Manny Pacquiao just took a shot to the gut with this recent news of him losing his long time Nike deal which has stemmed a little over 8 years. A deal which has since provided Manny with his own shoes that have released and even apparel. Manny has been outed by Nike for making inappropriate remarks towards same-sex marriage which he should have known would not be taken lightly.
When it comes to the LBGT community, just stay clear of any negative comments, it has been proven to be in your best interest to do so. As for “Pacman” I hope he learned his lesson as it was reported by Darren Rovell that Nike has issued an official statement regarding their termination of his contract and further ending any possible relationship between the two. While the comments were made to a Filipino television station, which doesn’t condone same-sex marriage, the comments made just doesn’t make it right.
Now I don’t know verbatim what was said on behalf of Pacquiao but he pretty much compared homosexuals to animals and as you see the results were not just a slap on a wrist. Check it out below..

Since making these comments, Manny has apologized, taking to social media to do so but in the same notion he stands firmly behind his beliefs. I understand standing up for your beliefs but is making a few comments worth the end result that transpired, no. So at the end of the day my advice would be just to not say anything at all especially when your a man like Manny Pacquiao, this can ultimately be worst.
