Nicolas Cage has signed on to star as Joe Exotic in the upcoming CBS series chronicling the life of the Tiger King star. The series will be based on the Texas Monthly article, “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild,”written by Leif Reigstad.
Behind the scenes, Dan Lagana will act as the show’s writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Meanwhile, Paul Young will executive produce alongside Cage, Scott Brown and Megan Creydt.
Nicolas Cage has led a long and storied career. He’s appeared in National Treasure, Ghost Rider and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Despite all of his Hollywood success, he’s never appeared regularly in a TV series until now.
