According to the Los Angeles Times, Nickelodeon has ordered 13 episodes for an adaptation of the musical comedy ‘School of Rock’.
The show will follow the same premise of the film as it will follow washed up musician Dewey Finn who sneaks his way into a job at a prep school to teach music. There, he will introduce the kids to the likes of AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.
Although the official cast list has yet to be announced it is unlikely that Black will reprise his role as Finn.
It is currently slated to air on the station next spring.
‘School of Rock’ starred Jack Black and grossed $81 million domestically back in 2003.
