If you were like many of us, last night you were tuned in for either the Warriors record breaking night of 73 wins or watching Kobe Bryant’s 60 point performance to end his 20 year illustrious NBA career.
Being the man Kobe Bryant is, the news about what he did to Nick Young doesn’t surprise me at all. What also strikes me as interesting is the fact we don’t know whether Kobe was messing with Swaggy P or if he was serious but 9 times out of 10 he was probably serious.
During Nick Young’s exit interview he spoke on the wild end to his season and possible Lakers career but there was a highlight. He told the story about how he asked Kobe to sign his shoes (like many NBA players have done) but it was Kobe’s response that made the interview that amusing. Young said the Black Mamba threw his adidas in the trash after not wanting to sign them. He then went on to say that Kobe told him to get some Nike’s and proceeded to sign those. But being the good guy Kobe tends to be from time to time he took a picture with Nick’s son. Noble guy.
I wonder what shoes it was that Nick asked to be signed and what Nike’s were signed instead.
