Nick Young is a natural savant. The confidence in this guy. If he could bottle it up and sell it he wouldn’t need to play basketball. But unfortunately his game isn’t as high as his confidence seems to always be. He gets hot and cold in a hurry. And this year he’s had more cold streaks than hot streaks.
Recently today there was news that Nick Young has been put on the trading block. The season hasn’t ended yet and they’re already done with him! Now Young is a LA native. So when he got the news he was going back. Swaggy P was born. And even though he’s heard the news, he’s confident that he’ll be in the purple and gold next season according to Mark Medina of LA Daily News.
“I’m confident in everything,” Young said. “Whatever happens, happens. It’s meant to happen.”
Yet, Young stressed that “me and coach are cool” before adding “we’re on the same page.” That marks a sharp contrast to when Young told L.A. News Group two weeks ago that he takes Scott’s criticism with “a grain of salt” and he considers the feedback “a little unfair.”
“I take that as he wants me to get better,” Young said of Scott. “If he ain’t talking about you, he don’t care about you. That’s one of the things coaches always say. As we talked, he wants me to get better.”
Also he talked about his trash shooting. Blaming it on, not himself. But the rim. Yes. The rim.
You see what’s the problem with Young is that he says stuff like that. I don’t know if he’s joking or not. It’s fine having confidence but you got to know when to be serious.
