The tight ends have finished their workouts in Indy. This year resembles a weaker class than normal with no true blue chip players. Southern Illinois tight end Mycole Pruitt had the fastest 40 time with a 4.58. Below are the guys who stood out for better or worse.
STOCK RISING:
1. Clive Walford (Miami)
Walford is part of the Hurricane star duo with Duke Johnson and Phillip Dorsett. Clive fits the mold of a Dwayne Allen of the Colts. The 40 time of 4.79 didn’t show his true explosion, but his jumping performance did. An 120 inch broad jump and 35 inch vertical jump ranked among the positions best. Walford could be a 3rd round steal come Draft day.

STOCK FALLING:
1. Nick O’Leary (Florida State)
O’Leary has some of the best hands in the class but ran extremely slow. A 4.93 is something I did not see when watching his game tape. It appears that a receiving fullback role could be his best fit moving forward. Kyle Juszczyk of the Ravens comes to mind when comparing the two. Personally I wouldn’t invest more than a 6th round pick on the Seminoles tight end.
