The polarizing NFL Color Rush jerseys may soon be coming to an end. Network executive Bill Wanger of Fox Sports, who recently obtained the rights to cover Thursday Night Football, said in a radio interview that the jerseys would not be used for Thursday Night Football during the 2018 season.

However, there has been nothing said about the Color Rush uniforms coming to an end. According to USA Today Sports’ Nate Davis, the uniforms will still be an option for teams in 2018.
SOURCE: NFL Color Rush uniforms are NOT going away in 2018. But they will no longer be limited to Thursdays, when teams may opt for throwbacks or standard uniforms.

The Color Rush jerseys were first introduced in 2015 and have been in the middle of an intense debate ever since. The first jerseys were only for eight teams but later expanded to cover all NFL teams.
The jerseys have led to some complications since their incorporation. Some NFL teams were unable to wear their Color Rush jerseys because of how similar their jerseys were to their opponents. The jerseys also caused problems for color blind users who could not tell the difference between the teams. Other fans may just think they are ugly.
Regardless of how you feel about the Color Rush jerseys, they are not going away just yet. It will be interesting to see what teams, if any, voluntarily wear these jerseys this season.
