In not so shocking news, the NFL’s VP of Communications Michael Signora sent out this tweet confirming what most of us already know. Nonetheless, it’s good that the league got in front of this before at lingered on into the afternoon/night.

Abdullah should not have been penalized. Officiating mechanic is not to flag player who goes to ground for religious reasons.
