As quiet as it has been kept, R&B releases have been steadily flowing in over the past few weeks. While rap beefs, Kanye West releases and all-star rap soundtracks have been garnering attention, Anderson.Paak, The Internet and others have been putting out quality music for R&B fans alike. Today, Ne-Yo decided to jump into the mix with the release of the latest single off of his upcoming, Good Man, album.
Ne-Yo’s newest record, “Summertime”, is a laid back anthem to vibe out to with the windows down and the sun coming through. Ne-Yo gives us summer time vibes when he sings, “In the Jeep on the beach with the top down/Hits on the radio, turn it up so loud/So good, so good (it feels so good)/Sun is shining on my face/And designer be my shades/And I’m riding with my lady/It’s feels amazing, feels amazing.” Simple and smooth is the only way to describe Ne-Yo’s newest single.
Ne-Yo’s seventeen track album, Good Man, will be release next Friday on June 8th. The project will be Ne-Yo’s first solo body of work since Non-Fiction in 2015. The effort will feature guest appearances from Romeo Santos, Eric Bellinger, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Steflon Don, Sam Hook, Beb Rexha and Candice Boyd.
