The New York Knicks have signed Guard Ricky Ledo from the D-League team, Texas Legends. Ricky Ledo used to play for the Dallas Mavericks this season but was released to allow them to sign Amar’e Stoudemire. So essentially the Knicks traded Amar’e Stoudemire for Ricky Ledo.
According to the Knicks press release:
New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that the team has signed guard Ricky Ledo of the NBA Development League’s Texas Legends to a 10-day contract, marking the 50th overall NBA Development League Gatorade Call-Up this season.
The New York Knicks are just trying to find another diamond in the rough like they did with Langston Galloway, and they don’t really have anything to lose, so might as well try it out.
