Warner Bros. have announced plans to reboot the live-action Scooby Doo movie franchise.
In 2002, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prince Jr., Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini starred in the live-action adaptation of the popular cartoon show.
In 2004, the sequel Scooby Doo: Monsters Unleashed was released, but failed to chart at the box office.
According to Deadline, Randall Green has been called on to write a new script that will re-launch the live-action series.
The announcement comes days after the death of radio icon Casey Kasem, who also voiced Shaggy on the cartoon.
Cartoon Network also announced plans for an animated reboot of Scooby Doo, set to debut later this year.
