While much of the world has paid attention to the three major album releases in the world of rap from YG, Mac Miller and Travis Scott, the world of R&B has produced a string of strong records over the past twenty-four hours. Beginning with H.E.R.‘s incredible new EP to Ella Mai’s new single, “Trip”, there are a number of new R&B tracks out there to enjoy this weekend. Never one to be outdone musically, Chris Brown has decided to drop off some new music during this eventful weekend. Chris Brown has released a surprise new song called “Had To Do It..Sorry, DJ Khaled”.
On the four minute track, Chris is introduced by the usual run of shoutouts from DJ Khaled before he flips the classic Michael Jackson song, “Rock With You”. Chris Brown sings, “Hit my pad on the east side/B side now you down like a beach towel/I want that breakfast in bed, body soft like butter spread/Girl you a snack.” On the hook, Chris Brown says, “I wanna wake up naked next to you,” instead of “I wanna rock with you.”
It’s unclear whether or not this a leftover track from DJ Khaled’s recent album sessions or just one of the many records Chris Brown has tucked away. In any circumstance, the record is just another reminder of the chemistry that the Virginia native and Florida DJ have together. Check out the new song above and let us know what you think.
