Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made its anticipated debut over the weekend, and DC fans have been split over the film, with several of them disappointed in it. Luckily for those fans, DC will be making another attempt to win their favor with Suicide Squad later this year. With the United States release being August 5, and the global release coming up in September, a new international trailer has dropped.
“A secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S creates a task force comprising super villains, the “Suicide Squad”. They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences” (IMDb).
The trailer starts out with the same recycled material set to “Bohemian Rhapsody” – nothing new. However, towards the end of the trailer, we get to see several new action sequences with Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jai Courtney, and Jared Leto (as reported by Slash Film). Watch the trailer below to see these cool new moments, and feel your level of hype for the movie blow through the roof!
Suicide Squad is produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, under the direction of David Ayer, who also penned the script.
