The Brooklyn Nets are currently in a very weird situation. The team is in a no-mans land right now with not many things they can do, besides wait. They’ve essentially backed themselves in a corner with prior trades and now they sit, waiting for something to come their way.
With the 29th and 41st picks in the 2015 NBA Draft, getting a key piece for their future is not likely. A few talented players came in recently for some pre-draft workouts but no one that could immediately change the fortunes of the team. They can also thank themselves for that happening because the Atlanta Hawks had the right of doing a pick swap with the Nets due to the Joe Johnson trade a few years ago. They do have the possibility to do one thing, which most Nets fans may not quite enjoy. They have a relatively young 7-footer with some talent in Mason Plumlee that has some value. He’s a guy they can deal to possibly get a draft pick but the Nets aren’t dealing Plumlee unless it brings them a high draft pick.

ESPN sources say Nets continue to explore trade possibilities with their Team USA center Mason Plumlee in advance of Thursday's NBA Draft

As for Mason Plumlee, word at this stage is that Nets unlikely to part with the young center unless deal can net pick in Thursday's lottery

Plumlee has been working out at the Nets facility alongside his brother, Miles, and Brook Lopez so the level of disconnect between Mason and the Nets isn’t there. He’s not disgruntled and the Nets will most likely enjoy keeping him more than getting rid of him. The team may not be too active in making Mason available possibly due to the uncertainty of Brook Lopez’s future.
Brook has been rumored to get some interest from the Milwaukee Bucks but it’s not expected to be serious from the Bucks. It’s more of the team, who is run by Jason Kidd, possibly putting out some sort of a rumor to either help Brook in his contract negotiations or hurt the Nets leverage.
Plumlee has value right now, but for a lottery pick? That’s unlikely. It would have to be a very late pick in the lottery for that deal to work out. Would the Phoenix Suns or Indiana Pacers consider it for the right deal? Possibly, but the trade would have to be perfect for both sides.
