Before last nights trade that sent Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City, the Thunder were in trade talks with another team about acquiring another big name.
According to NBC sports, the Nets and Thunder were close to a deal that would have sent all-star center Brook Lopez to Oklahoma City for Kendrick Perkins, Perry Jones, and Lance Thomas who is now a member of the Knicks.
With the Waiters trade last night it seems that these trade talks might be put to rest, but one has to wonder if Billy King is inching closer towards that panic button and ready to blow things up.
The Nets have won six of their last nine games, the most success they have seen all season, while Lopez has been averaging 20.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game during that stretch.
