Brooklyn Nets super-fan Jeffrey Gamblero was ejected from Madison Square Garden last week for speaking his mind. Jeffrey claims he has bruises, cuts, & a bump on his head from the security guards who picked Gamblero up and removed him from the stadium. The problem is this Nets super-fan has a prosthetic leg and pulled it off during the ejection. Jeffery talks to the media about the altercation:
“I’m looking for Jeffrey Gamblero. If you find him, let me know”. “I’m alive. I’m not my normal self, but I’m working towards getting back to that. I have a lot of recovery to do: physically, mentally, emotionally. My goal is to get back to being Jeffrey Gamblero by the All-Star break.”
Gamblero went on about what he said to lead to his ejection:
“I started saying, ‘Too easy! Too easy!’ and then all hell broke loose,” Gamblero said. “I’m not a bad guy. I’m not a bad guy,” “Did I think I was gonna get arrested? No, because I didn’t break the law. Is annoying people a crime? Is it? I would hope not.
I never agree with fans because they usually have one to many beers and regret what they said the next day, but the Nets super-fan did nothing wrong. Gamblero is a loyal New York City fan. Gamblero was speaking his mind and using his rights as an American using his 1st amendment “Freedom of Speech” without using profanity or rude gestures. I have seen many hecklers at NBA games and they never get ejected because they are heckling the opposing teams. Gamblero was heckling the Knicks players and fans at Madison Square Garden. New York City, one of the toughest cities in America, can handle one heckler! One Knicks fan talks about the incident and says “Everyone was chanting let him stay”. I myself love this fan’s passion and it’s part of the game.
