The Brooklyn Nets are set to hire Kevin Durant’s personal trainer Adam Harrington, league sources tell David Aldridge:
Nets, per sources, are hiring Adam Harrington, ex-OKC shooting coach–& Kevin Durant’s personal trainer. Helped KD w/Dirk 1-legged fadeaway.

Although the exact job title was not released, its assumed by many that Harrington will replace David Nurse as the team’s new shooting coach.
David Nurse, brought in by the Nets in February, immediately made an impact for the team. In the two months spent with Nurse as shooting coach, the Nets shot 41% from behind the arc, otherwise known as a league-best. Just days after news broke of Nurse not returning with the team next season, the Nets wasted no time in finding his likely replacement.
Adam Harrington, most well known for serving as Kevin Durant’s personal trainer over the past few years, played in the NBA for two seasons. One with the Dallas Mavericks, the other with the Denver Nuggets. After these two brief stints, he moved on to play professionally in Europe and China until 2010.

Adam Harrington went unselected in the 2002 NBA Draft. He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers summer league and later wound up signing a contract with Dallas that season.
As David Aldridge noted, he helped Kevin Durant improve his one-legged fadeaway, a shot most famously used by Dirk Nowitzki:
His experience working and helping improve Kevin Durant’s game should certainly be noted. Kevin Durant, a former MVP and four-time scoring champion, had full trust in Harrington. Now, the Brooklyn Nets do, as well.
