Old school coaches are old school for a reason, they get stuck in the past. Sometimes old school methodologies work, and sometimes they get put on blast. This time, Lionel Hollins, we have to put you on blast.
Lionel Hollins says he doesn't believe in resting players: "I don’t think managing your minutes lengthens your career by one minute."

Has Lionel Hollins not ever met Gregg Popovich, who is known for resting players? Has he not met the other 15 coaches currently in a playoff position, resting players? It’s foolish to think it doesn’t work. Players need rest, and that’s the reason a lot of injuries have been occurring, not enough rest. Now in the situation that the Brooklyn Nets and Lionel Hollins are in, being 8th in the East, and fighting for a playoff spot, resting isn’t an option. But to complete dismiss the idea of resting players? Non sense.
