A spinoff series for Grimm is being developed at NBC. The new series will build on the extensive mythology set up in the original.
Melissa Glenn will write and serve as executive producer on the untitled series. Alongside Glenn, Grimm co-creators Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt will serve as consulting producers. New and returning characters will appear in the show, which will feature new dangers and mysteries.
Grimm starred Dave Giuntoli as a detective who learned he descended from a line of guardians who protect humanity from mythical creatures known as Wesen. Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, and Bree Turner also starred. It’s unknown who could return or when the new series will take place in the original’s timeline.
NBC has yet to release any further information regarding the series.
