It was at moment Chris Paul knew… He screwed up.
The NBA officials have been under some considerable fire recently.
Particularly with the current replay system. We all know its flawed but nobody really pushes for it to be changed.
But with the recent call resulting in the LA Clippers’ emotionally destroying loss in game 5 against the OKC Thunder, has called for the many people in NBA circles (including Doc Rivers and several talking heads) to preach for a different method of replay.
According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Off site instant replay is the way to go according to the league.
What is it you ask? Centralised replay is basically having all the decisions made outside the building. If you know your MLB you’d know that they use this method already. So no more waiting 5-10 minutes watching the refs pointing at the TV.
Now the pros of this are the speed increase and maybe the efficiency of the calls. But if the people with the powers that be don’t have more control. The mistakes will still be there I’m afraid.
