Tonight marks the annual three point contest. This year the contest will be held in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn home of the Nets. The contest features added intrigue this year with action packed shooters. The field includes MVP candidates Stephen Curry and James Harden. Dead eye shooters Klay Thompson and Kyle Korver will also be participating. Rounding out the rest of the participants includes Wesley Mathews, J.J. Redick, Kyrie Irving, and defending champion Marco Belinelli.
- Stephen Curry
Curry is the favorite to win the contest at 13/4 odds. Currently shooting 41 percent from three and averaging 3.2 makes per game its easy to see why Steph is the favorite. Curry is looking for his first three point crown in 4 attempts. The MVP candidate is to say he will retire from the event should he win this years three point crown. Splash brother Klay Thompson could be a man who could steal his chance at winning.
- Kyle Korver
Korver is on pace for the greatest shooting season in NBA history! The Ashton Kutcher look alike is shooting an staggering 53% from deep. He will also be the first if he continues to average 50,50, and 90. 50% from three, 50% from the field, and 90% free throws. Korver is a 15/4 odd to win the event and is my pick to win the hardware.
- James Harden
Surprisingly enough Harden is the big underdog at 8/1 odds. Based off the odds Harden is predicted to finish dead last. Harden is a streaky scorer who could catch fire at any time. This seems odd for the leading MVP candidate but nonetheless could be a viable sleeper option.
The rest of the odds include Kyrie Irving 4/1, J.J. Redick 5/1, Marco Belinelli 6/1, Wesley Mathews 6/1, and Klay Thompson 4/1. Below is everything else you need to know.
