As the 2015-16 NBA season was getting ready to begin and the preseason hype was all around, there was an off-court incident between former friends and teammates.
New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher and Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes, former teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers, were involved in an incident in October that saw Barnes and Fisher get into a reported physical altercation.
While the story isn’t quite clear, the reports say that Barnes confroted Fisher at his ex-wife’s house after Matt found out from his children that Derek was there.
The NBA said they would be doing their own private investigation and it appears that there is a result of the issues between the two parties. Barnes will be getting suspended by the NBA.

As of right now, no more information concerning the investigation on the night in question have been released. For now, the information we know is all we know but there will most likely be more information to come soon.
Barnes the only one getting a suspension could lead one to believe he is the one at fault for the drama between the two.
