Since were officially a quarter through the NBA season, I thought I would take this time to appreciate the people who have taken their respective stats by storm and have really come out the blocks well.
Kevin Durant – Points – 29.0 – It seems a formality that KD will be in the top 3 of the PPG stat. He just gets it done simple as that. And since LeBron is focusing on his overall stat line and Melo is bombing KD has a 4 PPG lead!
Kevin Love – Rebounds – 13.8 – This is a very tight table as there are 4 players that are averaging higher than 11 RPG (Love, Howard, Jordan, Drummond) but K Love is the double double king so it’s no surprise that he’s leading the rebounding stat. But it also won’t be a surprise if D12 takes over the leaderboard.
Chris Paul – Assists – 12.0 – This is already over and were only a quarter through the season. He’s the only player with a double digit assist average, the closest is John Wall with 9.1… See? Over. Chris Paul is maybe the best proper floor general since John Stockton.
Anthony Davis – Blocks – 3.6 – He’s been injured and is leading blocks. I think we all saw he’d be in this position when he was blocking balls out the gym every night in his Kentucky days. Good luck laying up against him.
Andre Drummond – Field Goal pct – 62% – This is mainly usually dominated by Centers and there’s no difference this season (other than LeBron but c’mon it’s LeBron). Andre Drummond is officially the surest shot in the league with 62%, it can obviously change so cherish it Dre.
Michael Carter-Williams – Steals – 3.13 – Rookie Of The Year? It’s looking like it because he is on fire and I didn’t see it coming, well who did? I don’t even think the people at Philly knew he’d dominate like this and leading in steals?!
Well those are the leaders of the 6 general stats at the moment. Some will change, (FG, RPG, SPG) some won’t…(PPG, APG, BPG) but there’s no point leading individual stats if your team ain’t winning and other than Philly the other teams in question seem to be doing okay.
