Over the past few seasons, no dynasty has been as dominant as that of Chris Bosh’s Shooting Stars team at All-Star weekend. According to the Miami Heat power forward, however, that team will not be able to continue its strong run by defending its title this season:
Chris Bosh says NBA has scrapped Shooting Stars at All-Star Weekend so won't defend title.

In case you do not remember it, the challenge involved teams consisting of one NBA star, one WNBA star, and one retired NBA legend competing to be the fastest to make a variety of shots, from the post, free throw line, three point line, and halfcourt. Bosh who teamed with New York Liberty star Swin Cash and former NBA great Dominque Wilkins, retires undefeated but unable to defend his throne.
The Shooting Stars Challenge is one of the least well-known of the All-Star Weekend events. However, it has always been pretty fun to watch especially with the dominance from Team Bosh. Hopefully the NBA has something fun in store to replace this underrated event.
