6 games on last night. Lets recap.
Chicago Bulls 83 Washington Wizards 81 The Rio crowd got their money’s worth as the game went down to the wire but a missed 3 pointer by Eric Maynor was the difference in this. Taj Gibson with another great game, 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks! Jan Vesely had a great defensive effort with 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Don’t know if you’ve noticed but I haven’t talked about D Rose. He didn’t play because of a sore knee. I’m sure it’s nothing.
New York Knicks 81 Boston Celtics 111 This was a game just for the Knicks bench players as Melo, Chandler and others were rested. Saying that, how about Ike Diogu? 21 points and 8 rebounds. He definitely took advantage of this. But Boston were the winners in this one lets not forget and they can all thank each other. Sullinger, Bass, Brooks, Olynyk, Bradley and Crawford all had a good game. Teamwork at its best.
Detroit Pistons 98 Brooklyn Nets 88 Brooklyn just couldn’t score and with Bynum’s 10 assists and numerous players with double digit score lines it’s not surprising that Detroit won. If you don’t score points your not going to win. It’s literally that simple.
Toronto Raptors 104 Minnesota Timberwolves 97 How the T’Wolves did not win this I will never know. Kevin Love went off with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Other than him that’s pretty much it. Good win by Toronto. They’re looking good so far.
Los Angeles Clippers 106 Utah Jazz 74 I know it’s preseason but come on… Domination much?! Props to Collison and Paul, 10 assists each. That’s very promising to have two PG’s bossing the court. The only thing promising for Utah in this game was Richard Jefferson with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Just another blip I guess for the Jazz.
Charlotte Bobcats 83 Milwaukee Bucks 76 Remember the name Bismack Biyombo. Why? Oh not much just that he grabbed 21 REBOUNDS! And 2 blocks to wrap it up? Mate that’s a good game and then some. On the Bucks side props to John Henson for damage limitation. 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Oh look you get a bonus result. As the NBA Global Games move on so does time. As round 2 of Indiana against Houston (this time in Taipei) has already finished. Houston won this one 98-107. Harden with the game high 21 points. Danny Granger is looking better now. 15 points and 9 rebounds, he might be back to his old self.
3 games for you tomorrow. Have a nice Sunday.
