NBA preseason day 8. Lets jump right in.
New York Knicks 91 Toronto Raptors 100 Melo got stuff done in this game but other than him that was pretty much it on the Knicks side. 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. But the DeRozan – Gay partnership is proving to be a good one. 17 and 20 points respectively.
Boston Celtics 85 Philadelphia 76’ers 97 Well Boston had a go but other than Sullinger (19 points, 9 rebounds) and Bass, (10 rebounds) that’s was it. Philly on the other hand, they had Young, Turner and Hawes all chipping in for a good box score.
Cleveland Cavaliers 110 Orlando Magic 105 Well this was definitely a coming out party for Oladipo, 18 points, 8 rebounds. I’m liking this kid. But it weren’t enough because Irving, (17 points, 5 assists) Varejao (6 points, 7 rebounds) and Waiters, (21 points, 2 steals) got the job done.
Charlotte Bobcats 75 Miami Heat 86 In terms of result, no surprise. What I am surprised about is the overall result. 75-86? Short for points much? Anyway LeBron got the job done on the offensive side (20 points) with help from Cole and Beasley and Haslem won the defensive game with 11 rebounds. Heat is looking good so far…
Utah Jazz 86 Portland Trail Blazers 96 I can see why Portland won. Nobody on the Utah team scored anything, other than Hayward (20 points). But on the Blazers side it definitely wasn’t like that. Lillard (23 points, 5 assists) and Aldridge (20 points, 8 rebounds) made sure of that. Honestly it’s up to Aldridge if the Blazers make the playoffs or not, he’s the X factor.
That’s day 8, day 9 has 6 games including the Bulls facing the Wizards in Rio Di Janeiro, Brazil.
