We’ve got a comeback I’ll tell you who in a moment but right now, domination in Charlotte but it was Charlotte’s turn this time…
Philadelphia 76’ers 84 Charlotte Bobcats 110 Who knew the Bobcats could dominate in this way. Ben Gordon ran circles around the Sixers guards with 22 points and Biyombo does it again with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. On the Philly side props to Tony Wroten with 20 points, (seems he’s taking advantage on his fresh new start) and Hollis Thompson with 10 rebounds.
New York Knicks 98 Washington Wizards 89 I have a feeling Andrea Bargnani is warming up to being a Knick. 13 points and 3 blocks is a good way of saying it. Along with a classic Melo performance (22 points 8-17 shooting) it was a comfortable win for the Knicks.
Detroit Pistons 84 Cleveland Cavaliers 96 7 players with double digits for the Cavs. 7! You know they won this game and without Zeller and Waiters! And I like the Pistons. Exciting plays all around, even Varejao had a cheeky behind the back.
And that was along with his 11 rebounds. Good team play and good win by the Cavs.
San Antonio Spurs 106 Atlanta Hawks 104 Aron Baynes. Exactly, who? Only the guy who shot the game winner for the Spurs. Sick game from start to finish. Parker and Teague battled all the way through this and of course Duncan and Manu got in on it as well. 16 points for Parker and 14 for Duncan.
New Orleans Pelicans 105 OKC 102 The last minute was jam packed with misses, floaters, botched free throws and lockdown defence. Brian Roberts and Reggie Jackson played a game of 1-Up in the latter stages and as Reggie misses one they force foul and Austin Rivers misses BOTH free throws but lucky Anthony Davis is such a tank and blocks Jeremy Lamb’s go ahead three.
Yea… Jam packed indeed. New Orleans keep their 100% record as the Pelicans.
Phoenix Suns 90 Sacramento Kings 107 I’m loving the Kings at the moment. It’s not just Cousins now. Even Jimmer Fredette is getting stuck in! 29 and 23 for Boogie and Jimmer. Including my early pick for Rookie Of The Year Ben McLemore rising up for the DUNK!
And round two of the Lakers – Warriors tour in China had finished 89-115 Pau Gasol with the only double digit game for the P&G with 16. That wasn’t the case with the Warriors. Klay Thompson doing what he does best with 25 and how about Andre Iguodala?! 7 rebounds, 14 assists and 5 steals! Who cares about points when you do that?! And along with this…
There wasn’t a doubt who was gonna win this one.
3 games tonight. Great weekend of basketball ahead. Have a good one.
