Former NBA Player and current CBS analyst Greg Anthony has reportedly been arrested for his role in a prostitution sting in the Washington D.C. area. The former NCAA champion as a member of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels in 1990 was in the area to reportedly cover the Michigan State versus Maryland college basketball game in the College Park area for CBS Sports. More from the staff at ABC 7 out of Washington D.C., who first broke the story. As well as Richard Washington out of WBAL 11, an NBC affiliate in Baltimore, putting the pieces together. From the WJLA website.

From the AP:
Lt. Kelvin Cusick tells The Associated Press that Anthony was arrested at 5:46 p.m. on Friday. He said Saturday that Anthony faces a misdemeanor solicitation charge that’s punishable by up to 180 days in jail.
Cusick says the 47-year-old Anthony was released Friday evening. No further details were available.
Anthony spent 11 years in the NBA with 6 NBA teams, most notably with the New York Knicks in the mid-90’s during their run with coach Pat Riley at the helm. While Anthony didn’t have a reliable outside shot, he was a tough perimeter defender and was a member of the Knicks from 1991-1995 before the expansion Vancouver Grizzlies drafted him second overall but he was their first overall pick of the team in 1995’s expansion draft. Antony was also a pivotal role player for the Trail Blazers from 1998-2001 when they made their runs in the Western Conference and through the playoffs against teams like the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. UPDATE: Greg Anthony has been suspended indefinitely for his role in the prostitution arrest.
CBS statement: "Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season. He has been suspended indefinitely."
