The NBA is investigating an incident between Rockets owner Les Alexander and an official during Houston’s game five win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
NBA says "an investigation is underway" into Les Alexander approaching a ref during the game tonight

The incident happened at the end of the first quarter. Alexander left his courtside seats and approached official Bill Kennedy during live action. After some brief yelling, Alexander walked back to his seat.
It’s not clear what Alexander’s motive was or what he said to the referee. Neither party was interviewed at the conclusion of the contest.
This is obviously something the league will take a very serious look at. The NBA attempts to be very protective of its officials, fining players for public criticisms. The referees’ union has also been vocal of needing more support and protection of officials.
(UPDATE 4/26/17) The NBA has fined Les Alexander $100,000 for running up on Kennedy during the game.

Kennedy has specifically been involved in these investigations recently after Bulls’ point guard Rajon Rondo was accused of issuing a homophobic slur towards him.
The league will do its due diligence to find out everything about the situation. But it’s pretty clear that Alexander will be hearing about the league office and will likely receive a fine.
